If your plot already has the benefit of full planning permission we can still help you build your new home. Over the years we have assisted many clients who had bought a plot with full planning permission or had already arranged this through another architect/designer. Click for examples
Fixed price quote
The usual sequence is to for you to provide us with copies of your drawings and using our experience and knowledge of current build costs we will provide you with an estimate of the likely build costs. This takes only 2 or 3 days. If you are happy with the estimate we will then prepare a specification and fixed price quote for the building work with no hidden extras. If you have not commissioned the Building Regulations work then we can include obtaining the approval at no extra charge. Our in-house team of qualified Technicians headed by our Company Architect will carry out the work, so you can be assured we are in complete control of the process. This will also include any necessary structural calculations and the Energy Audit. If your plot has adverse ground conditions then we can arrange a special foundation design e.g. piling through one of our many, established network professionals.
Planning amendments
Should you require any amendments to the existing planning approval then we will take care of these for you with the Council, again at no extra charge.
Basements and Attics
All self-builders are looking to make the very most of their situation. Basements and attic
roofs can provide useful additional accommodation and we can explore the viability and cost of these with you as part of our service.
Design improvements
Our Head of Design, Beverley Pemberton, is one of the leading self-build designers in the industry with many accolades to her name. As part of our service Beverley will assess your design and suggest improvements for your consideration. Beverley always makes herself available to clients to sit down face to face and help you resolve any design issues.
Specification
Matching the right materials to your design is one of the key areas of self-build. Our Materials Manager, Dan Mutti has over 20 years experience of patiently guiding our clients through the multiple choices that are unique to those building their own home. Whichever items you wish to consider Dan will negotiate the best possible prices on your behalf and separately itemise the costs. Because some materials are more labour intensive, he will also explain the impact these will have on your overall build costs.
Sustainability/ECO features
