Future proof your new home – choose ‘Fabric First’
When building your own home it is important to make the right decisions for those elements of the build where you only have one bite of the cherry. Items such as the external walls, the roof covering and windows you wouldn’t expect to change. The structure of the house is just the same and whilst eco features such as solar panels can be retrospectively fitted, you can’t change the structure of the house. So we believe in investing in high levels of thermal insulation being built-in to the structure of your new home. This is known as Fabric First.
Download our ‘Guide to Building Your Individual Home’ which examines Fabric First in more detail and includes advice on how to establish a realistic budget, finding land, obtaining planning permission, eco design and lots of ideas to fire your imagination.
