The build phase - the business end of self-build. This is when things start to get really exciting and the
time when you will need our support most. Well, you can count on it.
Building Regulations
On receipt of your planning permission we prepare detailed drawings and submit an application for building
regulations approval. As with your planning, we monitor your application closely to obtain approval in as short
a period as possible
Engineers fees included: This work may involve us in dealing with other industry professionals on your behalf.
If your design includes structural steelwork or a complex roof structure then structural engineers calculations
will be required and the cost of this work will also be included in our price.
In certain circumstances an engineer may be required to provide a special foundation design. We can commission
this work on behalf of clients although the fees are in addition to the Design & Materials fully integrated
service.
Working drawings: When you are ready to make a start on site our Architectural Department will prepare working
drawings and provide you with ten sets for the builders and trades people.
Specification
Our in-house Quantity Surveyor then prepares a detailed specification.
Recruiting Builders
Using the building regulation drawings and specification we prepare tender documents for builders
on your behalf. We liase closely with you to ensure everything you require is included in the tenders to avoid
extras from the builder. We then guide you through the builders' quotations and assist you in choosing the one
that's right for you.
Supply of Materials
We provide and manage all the materials that you will need to build your new home and guarantee the right
quantity of each item. Scheduling, daily ordering and progress chasing can all be left to us.
Choice
Our service ensures that you have flexibility to choose the materials that are most important to you.
Hand Holding
Throughout the whole process from start to finish we give you as a client all the support you need.
Does your plot already have full planning permission?
If your plot already has the benefit of a full planning permission we still can help you build your new
